For the past eighteen months, the Funkwerks team has been making strides to decrease ourĀ environmentalĀ footprint. We have focused on three primary areas:
  • Ingredient Selection
  • Packaging Materials
  • Transportation
The first of these was a switch from European to North American grain which occurred throughout 2017 and was completed with the installation of our new malt silo in September of 2018. This has allowed us to decrease bag waste by approximately 56%. Fuel usage andĀ our carbon footprint decreased significantly as we no longer require grain delivery via freight from Europe. We have two other largeĀ environmental initiatives that will be rolled out this year, the first of which will be announced soon.
